DISBELIEF: Why Nyerians Kept Off Jubilee Caravan

Big rallies may be over-rated when it comes to motivating voters to come out and vote on elections day especially in this year's hotly contested Presidential race.

Jubilee Party losers seem to be more determined to hold political caravans and thereby sending a signal to His Excellency President Uhuru Kenyatta (Political conspiracy) may be as a way of soothing him to reward them in lucrative state jobs when he forms the Next Government.

On Sunday 11th June the Jubilee Caravan found itsway in Nyeri County.

Led by losers Mary Wambui, Othaya, Jamleck Kamau Murang'a and 20 others who lost during the Jubilee party primaries, they started their day's activities, by attending a Church service (May be to ask God to bless their day and praying that people may flock in their rally)

They also made several unproductive stop overs before making their way to Kamukunji grounds.

The caravan attracted only a handful of Nyeri residents, a low turnout in what may be said to be the worst for a 'Political bigwigs"

According to Nyeri residents who spoke to Kk online News, there was no way they could attend a rally organised by those they rejected during the Jubilee party primaries

'How do I attend a rally to listen to someone I voted out, By sending them home we meant that we don't want to see them in the helm of leadership', Kigo Kamau said.

On her part Grace Njeri said that she avoided the meeting because to her 'the so called political bigwigs think that they are the only once who can be voted in and thereby take voters for granted by insinuating that they were rigged out.

In the four types of Kenyan Political rally attendees:interested type, Die hard supporters, ill minded fellows and The "Let's just go" Nyerians who attended the rally seem to chose the "Let's just go" type.

These are the people who just attend because the event location is within reach. On most occasions they go in groups and also use the event as a pass-timer because of a jobless day boredom or just to be away from home. They are also not interested in the meeting theme and are likely to stay until the end of the event but still leave without noting even a single thing that was addressed by the speakers.

The much hyped political rally ended up in disarray.

CONFESSION: Muranga's James Gathungu Explains Why He Broke Up With Miguna Miguna

News that Nairobi Gubernatorial aspirant Miguna Miguna  had dumped his running mate James Gathungu three months to the elections and two weeks after unveiling him shocked many who wondered what went wrong to the two who had hold a joint Press briefing exuding confidence that they would clinch the Nairobi's top job.

When the Controversial lawyer appeared at the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to present his papers for governorship, he showed up with a different running mate a little known Karen Wangwenye  an alumnae of the Catholic University of Eastern Africa.

KK Online News have reached to James Karihe Gathungu with an aim of getting the facts right on what went wrong.

A 24 year old vibrant Turk, Karihe started his conversation with an idiomatic expression posing a question. "Let me ask you what would you do if you are in a ship and it is about to sink or you happen to see a very beautiful house but it has nothing inside would you make yourself comfortable in the house or would you get yourself In the move?"

He categorically stated that it was not Miguna Miguna who dumped him but it was Him who realized that Miguna was a Serious Joker who is best suited to be a social media Governor. (Miguna has this mistaken assumption that his 20,000 Twitter followers (Peter Kenneth had 300,000) will come out in droves to elect him.)

A student from Laikipia University with Bachelor of Arts and Statistics described Miguna Miguna, a Canadian based Lawyer as rude, An Aspirant with dead vision and a vulgur man who cannot talk unless he insults another person

He said that associating himself with Miguna Miguna would ruin his political future since he would later require those who Miguna called Thieves, Murderers, and Land grabbers.

In an exclusive interview with KK online News, Karihe who is popularly known as Karismatic downplayed Miguna's manifesto interpreting it as an outright lie and sheer nonsense.

"It is laughable for Someone to lie to Kenyans that he would build 50 Referral hospitals in Nairobi and that he would build 20 state of art standard underground tarmaced roads criss crossing Nairobi, You see, that's why I turned down Miguna's offer.

Karihe said that Miguna has no political strategy, lacked logistics and has dead ideologies.

He said that Miguna would never be Nairobi's Governor wondering when he would start his campaigns 'He is always abroad'

KK online News has learnt that Since Miguna Miguna declared his interest to be Nairobi's CEO he has done nothing to show that he understands the Kenyan Political Strategy, he has not conducted a single rally, he has never hold a closed door meeting with Nairobi's stakeholders among other things.

SIGH OF RELIEF: Prices For Gas Cylinders In Murang'a To Be Slashed By 50%

Forests play a vital role in maintaining the health of our planet. They serve as the ‘lungs’ of Earth, sequestering carbon and other greenhouse gases to provide oxygen.

They recharge watersheds and help regulate the hydrological systems that govern our climate. They are rich in biodiversity, home to more species than any other terrestrial biome.

However Human beings need forests too. Millions of people live in and depend on them for almost everything, from food to medicine to shelter. Forests also absorb the carbon dioxide we emit from cars, planes and power plants, making them critical in the global fight against climate change.

Yet every single minute an area of forest the size of fifty soccer fields is cut down.

Some of the reasons why trees are cut down is because of the global demand for products like wood, Charcoal, among others.

The Government of Kenya seem to be working hard  to change the forest economy so that trees are kept standing - to promote development without destruction rather than destruction without development.

Kephas Marube, a Murang'a North Assistant County Commissioner has told KK online News that as a way of mitigating and solving the issue of deforestation the prices for gas cylinders starting September this year, will be slashed by 50%

This means a gas cylinder worth Sh 4000 will be selling at Sh 2000.

"Murang'a residents who depend on firewood and charcoal will afford Meko gas at a subsidized cost," Marube said.

He disclosed that the project will be driven by self help groups who will be incharge of distribution and refilling of gas cylinders.

"We will be rolling out deports in all our Sub Counties where our people will be refilling the gases," Marube said adding that the project will not only create jobs but will also improve the living standards of the Murang'a inhabitants.

He said that Murang'a County has been earmarked among the first 18 Counties that will benefit from the National Government in conjunction with National Oil Cooperation.

In an exclusive interview with KK online News,Marube announced that the project will be launched soon.

Soon After Consecration Ven Gichere will acquire a new tittle Rt Rev Timothy Gichere

He is currently The Archdeacon Gathukeini Archdeaconary.

Was one time The AS cum Vicar General, The Clerical secretary standing committee of Synod of The Diocese Mt Kenya.

He was The vicar larger Gatumbi parish in the early 90's where he mediated peace after a long tym wrangles.

Similarly, Ack Gathukieni he brokered peace in two split groups that had issues for a long tym.

Christians who know him and has interacted with him describe him as  one of The Best Minds ,Spiritually, Administratively,Development and holistic.

KK online News managed to get his Acceptance Speech. Have a look

"Our Honorary Diocesan Chancellor and Chairman of the Electoral College Mr Kimani Kairu and your team, the electoral College, My Lord Bishops, the clergy, Christians of the Diocese of Mt Kenya Central and all present. Praise the Lord.

I want to say that for me this is a very humbling issue. I'm deeply humbled by this great challenge of being elected the 4th Diocesan Bishop of the Diocese of Mt Kenya Central. My family, My wife Esther in absentia but joining us soon, my daughters Salome and Dorris who recently moved to the United States of America to continue with their studies (I had a nice time together during part of my annual leave which is ending today) and my son Alex definitely join me in thanking you for showing confidence that you believe I will be able to serve as the Diocesan Bishop.

I would like to take this earliest to thank his Grace the Arch Bishop Rt. Rev Jackson Ole Sapit for his tireless efforts in ensuring the Diocese had elections
The "Second Election Journey" started from Diocesan Synod held on 4th Feb 2017 which he personally chaired. The process has finally culminated in election of the 4th Diocesan Bishop
His determined impartial and assertive approach coupled with love and understanding will forever be cherished by Christians of this Diocese and we together wish him God's blessings and interventions in all his endeavours as he leads the Anglican Church Of Kenya.

I cannot forget the prayer teams that spent their time agonising over and interceding for this process. This is what prayers can do. I pray the spirit of prayer continue in this Diocese. One instance of the prayer Is the graceful acceptance to restart the Bishopric election process right from the local churches after the direction to do so by the Provincial office. It has not been an easy road but God remained faithful. The Bible tell us to continue praying without CEASING.

Ven John with his wife Mama Mwangi Ven Wilson and Mama Dennis are my colleagues in this Diocese. We have come along way as friends in this Diocese. I appreciate that they not only offered their Candidatures but the three of us were recommended by the Search Committee held on May 6th 2017. I applaud their concession with humility and appreciation. Lets join hands to serve this great Diocese.

I believe this is not my Victory but the Lords Victory. This could not have been humanly possible because deliberate, Frequent and Aggressive efforts to block the process have been done since we started the process BUT i believe we all need to accept and come to the reality of God's will. Brethren God works mysteriously as Paul reminds us in Romans 8:28 when he says "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him who have been called according to His purpose" although God's ways may seem to be mysterious and unfathomable at times, we can rest confidently that they are higher than our ways. I therefore take this responsibility with humility.

Now that we have come to an end of lobbying, Jostling and praying for the preferred Candidates, let us now join hands to serve this great Diocese. A Diocese with a great history of Spirituality. It is therefore with profound thanksgiving to God and the Church that I will serve with dedication and with all my strength and with God's help.

As I conclude, let us pray that our Diocese will grow from strength to strength. To achieve this, it is my humble appeal that all of us MUST BE COMMITTED TO OUR CALLING. let us persue peace, forgiveness and reconciliation as we pray for one another so that we may move on.We must do our best to advance unity, we must work together and be seen working together. Somebody wisely said that if you want to walk fast walk alone but if you want to go far walk together with others.

Now to him who is able to keep us from falling and to present is faultless before the presence of his groly and exceeding joy to god our Savior who alone is wise be the groly and majesty dominion and power both now we'd forever amen Jude 24 25

THE END OF THE SPEECH

BREAKING NEWS: Diocese Of Mt Kenya Central Gets New Bishop

After several Months of Court battles over who should be nominated by the Search Committee to vie for the Bishop post for Diocese of Mt Kenya Central, the Church has now a new Bishop Elect Ben Timothy Gicere

The milestone step that had proven to be an uphill task has been achieved after the two main Contestants Ven Wilson Burugu and Ven John Miano stepped down in favour of Ven Gichere.

It took the intervention of Arc Bishop Rev Jackson Ole Sapit who requested that the case that had been taken to Court be withdrawn to pave way for dialogue and Consultation.

Adressing the congregation, Burugu and Miano said that their decision was not because of intimidation neither was it because of A Memorandum of Understanding.

In his acceptance speech the new Bishop Elect Ven Timothy Gicere, has affirmed that he was equal to the task citing that he would work closely with the Church to spread the gospel

He termed the Court litigations that had derailed the process as baseless.
