CORRIDORS OF JUSTICE: WA IRIA'S APPEAL TO BE HEARD TODAY

Even after Kigumo lawmaker Hon Jamleck Kamau surrendering and shelving his gubernatorial ambitions and asked Jubilee party to issue Muranga Governor the ticket, Which they had, Wa Iria's appeal is on.
The high court on Saturday evening certified urgent an appeal by Mwangi Wa Iria and directed Wa Iria's lawyer Ng'ang'a Mbugua to serve parties through substitute service.
Justice Joseph Onguto has directed that the appeal be heard today (Sunday) evening. Wa Iria in his appeal says the Political Parties and Disputes Tribunal, erred in law and fact to rely on a 2013 register when jubilee did not exist then.

Shockingly, even after the Milimani law courts ruled on his favour, Kamau held a press conference in a hotel in Nairobi saying that he was not ready to engage in an exercise which he believed won't be free and fair.
He said that since the same referees in Jubilee party would be the same to oversee the repeat exercise, "What they did to me will still happen"
He seemed to suggest that he did not have faith with the ruling party.

But Wa Iria was quick to answer Kamau. "I want to clear up this notion that Jamleck has left the seat for me , we went to the polls and i was voted in. The people of muranga gave me the mandate  and there is no way Jamleck can come back and claim to be dishing out the seat. This is a public office and its only given by the people  not an individual."

It therefore beats the logic as to why he went to Court in the first place.

According to political analysts, Kamau's move could been triggered by the fact that he knew the ground was mad at him for "allegedly stopping Them receive Fertilizer subsidies from Wa Iria"
Another reason could be he feared antagonising his party for future gains. The President had asked all losers to keep calm and support the winner.
His shocking moves have left his fanatical followers in the world of desparation since they too are reportedly not understanding their boss.
They had wined and dined after the Tribunal ruled on their 'General's. Expectations.
However Wa Iria's lawyer Mr Nganga Mbugua says Wa Iria was ready to argue his case in court and In the grounds. 'Though Kamau has surrendered, our Appeal is on, we want to legitimize our win'.
This means that incase Justice Joseph Onguto stamps the earlier ruling, the Jubilee will have to announce Mwangi wa Iria as their candidate since no one has declared his interest to oppose him.

Breaking News: Jamleck Kamau Steps Down In Favour Of Wa Iria

A day after Milimani law courts ordered Jubilee party to conduct fresh gubernatorial primaries in Muranga, Jamleck Kamau has downed his gubernatorial ambitions.
In a press conference to newsmen Kamau has said that he will not be contesting for the County's top seat.
This comes after information from the Jubilee party that it was not ready to conduct fresh nominations citing that it did not have resources for the same.
According to Political analysts Kamau's move be attributed to several reasons.
It could be because he knew well that even if the exercise was repeated Wa Iria would beat him.
Another possible reason is that he could have reached a mega deal with the party so that he do not continue with his Gubernatorial ambitions.
It's worth noting that the deadline for political parties to submit their lists of candidates is tomorrow.
Kamau Howvee has said that it will be difficult for him to support Wa Iria since he believes that he Stole the votes.
