 Every company from now henceforth seeking to work with government both at the national and county level, will have to sign an approved Business Code of Ethics domiciled in the Public Procurement Oversight Authority. I direct that the Cabinet Secretary to the National Treasury gives this code effect through regulations under the Public Procurement and Disposal Act.

EACC CHAIR NOMINEE Who is Philip Kinisu?

Mr. Philip Kinisu – a leading figure in business and finance – has built a successful career in leadership, governance and auditing/consulting spanning more than 30 years with PricewaterCoopers (PwC). His sterling performance at PwC saw him rise through the rank from junior auditor to manager, regional CEO/Senior Partner and capped his career at the international firm before his exit on 30 June 2014. He has provided technical advice to public and private sector clients, his most recent being Barclays Bank of Kenya and Office of the Auditor General. Mr. Kinisu holds a Bachelor of Commerce (1st Class, Hons) from the University of Nairobi (1979). His other qualifications include Fellow, Institute of Chartered Accountants, England and Wales (ACA - 1983) and (Fellow 1993 – FCA). 
The President also nominated Dabar Abdi Maalim, Paul Mwaniki Gachoka, Sophia Lepuchirit and Rose Mghoi Mtambo Macharia as members of EACC.

MOSES KURIA TO BE PROSECUTED


Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria will be prosecuted over incitement to violence. This is after the Director of Public Prosecution Keriako Tobiko on monday reccommended his prosecution after he received files from NCIC recommending Kuria prosecution over inciting constituents from his constituency to slash with pangas those opposed to NYS cohorts program. In a statement to newsroom Keriako said he was satisfied with the evidence that will sustain a successful case.

PRESIDENT KENYATTA NAMES EACC CHAIR & COMMISSIONERS


President Uhuru Kenyatta has nominated Philip Kinusu as EACC chair while  Dabar Maalim, Paul Mwaniki, Sophia Lepuchirit and Rose Mghoi has been named as the commissioner. The nominees will replace Mumo Matemo commission to lead the commission entitled in fighting graft in the country. The names of the Nominees were later sent to the parliament for debate and approval.
