CONTRAST: Michuki Family Divided Over Jubilee Six Piece And Smaller Parties

Whenever the name of John Njoroge Michuki is mentioned, we remember a no nonsense man, bold, a man of strong Character and straight forward leader who always spoke his mind.

He was a staunch adherent of Kibaki's Principles of Governance and Transport reforms, introduced Speed Governors and Safety belts and by his own achievements, showed himself a worthy member of Kibaki's most consulted kitchen cabinet.

Michuki was influential, respected and a feared politician. He defended the Government with all his heart soul and spirit.

No one could argue or talk after he finished giving his speech, his word was final.

He was the engine behind Uhuru Kenyatta's endorsement in 2012 in a meeting at Ihura Stadium where the ground was full to its capacity. He was so domineering that no other Murang'a leader would go against his wish.

However his family seem to be holding opposing views on Uhuru Kenyatta's wish, Advocating for six piece voting pattern in Murang'a County.

One of his Sons is in the echelon of Jubilee party while his close relative is vying for Kangema Parliamentary seat on Martha Wangari's Nark Kenya party.

John Njoroge Mucheru whose father is John Michuki's step brother is a real threat to a Jubilee nominee in Kangema Constituency Mr. Muturi Kigano.

Although President Kenyatta is on record asking Murang'a voters to vote for the Jubilee nominees, Njoroge seems to defy His excellency and seems to be determined to clinch Kangema's seat on 8/8/2017.

Njoroge like any other Candidate in Kangema vying as an independent or on a friendlier party to Jubilee seems to take advantage of the fact that President Kenyatta and His Deputy did not make it to Kangema, it is alledged that they are creating a perception that Uhuru did not step his foot at Kangema because he was in dilemma on how to handle Independent candidates and Jubilee nominees. (Though me and you knows the reason for not making it to Kangema, Kahuro and Mathioya was because of time factor)

On the other hand, Michuki's son seems to be very occupied in Jubilee party doing all that he can to bridge the gap between the Jubilee party leadership and its Mcas nominees.

On 26/6/2017 all Muranga, Nyeri Kirinyaga, Nyandarua, Laikipia and Rift Valley Mcas nominees were invited at Multi Media University courtesy of The late Michuki's son to 'Listen to the real issues on the ground' and find the solutions.

According to one of the invitees, The Nominees were given 300 t-shirts, 100 caps,600 flags 600 visors/paper caps.

"We were also given 50,000 each to boost our campaigns," the nominee told KK online News.

Confirming the said meeting, Michuki's son who requested anonymity, said that he just invited the Mcas to offer a technical support to the Jubilee party.

"I don't hold any position in Jubilee Party but I'm just trying to help the Mcas get the campaign materials and assisting the party to know what's going on in the ground and we can only know about it through Mcas,'  he said.

In an exclusive phone interview with KK online News, the witty son of Michuki said that he will also be conducting several meetings with Central and Rift Valley Mcas nominees, to make sure that they speak in one voice and drum up support for the reelection of Uhuru Kenyatta.

Asked about his relatives decision to vie on Nark Kenya, he said. ' I have not heard about it but there is nothing wrong for that by the end of day if he gets to Parliament he will vote in favour of our President."
