I'm actually relating to a document that circulated in social media yesterday for the better part of the day.
The document had a signature purporting to be that of Hon Kembi Gitura and had the Stamp bearing the address of the Senate.
According to Kembi Gitura, the document is not His and neither did it originate from his office. "I have seen it Circulating and I can tell you, it's someone who's trying to be me, fake signature, fake stamp all in the name of making me look bad," Kembi told KK online News.
Talking to KK online News on phone Gitura who doubles up as The Senate Deputy Speaker, said that he has reported the matter to the authorities adding that police officers are pursuing the origin and the person behind the false document.
"The culprit must be brought to book, I fail to understand why someone would come up with a fake document and start circulating it on social media platforms to make me look bad. I'm determined to pursue this case to the end so that the People of Muranga may know the truth of the matter," Kembi said ascertaining that he would not sit and watch people tarnish his name.
This will not be the first time Kembi Gitura is engaging in a lawsuit with residents, last year Kembi sued Muranga Governor's Cousin Mr. James Mwangi for texting him an 'Abusive message'.
Unfortunately, Kembi lost after the Director Of Public Prosecutions nullified his case on conditions that the Current Constitution did not have clear guidelines on defamation of electronic devices.
However, Gitura, if makes true his word would be having a very strong case against his lampoons.

CHAPTER XXXV – PUNISHMENT FOR FORGERY
351. Forgery of judicial or official document
Any person who forges any judicial or official document is liable to imprisonment
for seven years.
352. Forgery of, and other offences in relation to, stamps
Any person who—
(a) forges any stamp, whether impressed or adhesive, used for the
purposes of revenue or accounting by any Government department;
or
(b) without lawful excuse, the proof whereof shall lie upon him, makes
or has knowingly in his possession any die or instrument capable of
making the impression of any such stamp;
or
(c) fraudulently cuts, tears in any way or removes from any material
any stamp used for purposes of revenue or accounting by the
Government, with intent that another use shall be made of such stamp..."
