With less than 70 days to the next General Elections, chances for Mwangi wa Iria to be the County's President are over 90%.
This was after he mercilessly trounced his closest Political arc Rival Hon Jamleck Kamau with over a 100,000 votes leading in all the Seven Constituencies apart from Gatanga and later The High Court confirmed him as the legitimate Jubilee's Gubernatorial Nominee for Muranga County.
Having nominated overwhelmingly by Kandara Constituency where he faced stiff competition from Hon Jamleck Kamau with his Counterpart Kandara's Alice Wahome, he is certainly going to appoint his deputy from the area.
KK online News visited Kandara areas, to listen to the residents choice of Deputy Governor who they would like Wa Iria to work with.
Among those who were mentioned were Mr Kahenya, Mr. Njihia, who is Kigumo's Sub County Administrator and Mr Maina Kamau, Former Kandara Mp who also lost to Alice Muthoni Wahome during the Jubilee Nominations.
Our attention However was drawn by the name of this Man. Mr. Robert Kimani Ndungu. In every 6 people who we asked on their views of who they would like to deputise Wa Iria, 3 were recommending him.
According to most of the residents, Kimani was the best choice for his exemplary efforts and contributions to social problems facing Kandara.
Amos Karanja, a resident at Kagira, told KK online News that Kimani was the ideal Deputy for Wa Iria since he represented The business Community. "It would be very wise for Wa Iria to get a representative of the Business Community so that the players from this sector may feel accomodated in his administration," Karanja said.
KK online News have learnt that Kimani owns All the 'Summit Grills And Restaurants' and other business enterprises in and outside Muranga County.
On her part Grace Njeri from Kagunduini said that the man had sponsored several needy but bright students in Kandara constituency alone. "His philanthropic and merciful deeds to our children makes me think he should be in Muranga County Government so that our Community continue benefiting from his acts of kindness and love,".Njeri said adding that over a 100 students have benefited from Robert Kimani.
Asked whether they would be satisfied with Maina Kamau as the next Deputy Governor, Mr. Martin Kamande told KK online News that "Maina Kamau was a reject and a section of residents would not feel comfortable with him given that they had genuine reasons of showing him the door in 2013 and in 26th April Jubilee Nominations.
KK online News embarked on a mission to know and understand Kimani and his Education credentials.
His Credentials
Schooled at Kagira Primary Robert Kimani Ndungu proceeded to Pumwani Secondary school, Muranga high school and later joined University of Nairobi where he studied law.
He is currently an advocate of High Court. He is also a member of Certified Secretaries of Kenya.
An accredited Governance Auditor he would be in a better position to serve in Public Institutions.
KK online News has also established that Kimani is also a Company Secretary in over 200 Companies in Kenya and a Director in a number of investement companies in Kenya.
He also serves as Deputy Chairperson in Board of Management in Kiranga Secondary School in Kandara and Thangira Secondary School in Maragua.
Some of his businesses are located in Maragua with over 50 employees, an added advantage for him.
Kandara is waiting to see who would be Wa Iria's choice and are hopeful that he might be one.
