WHY GITUGI ORPHANS WILL LIVE TO REMEMBER THIS MONTH DECEMBER

Over 50 orphans from Faranja Children Home at Gitugi Ward in Murang’a County got a rare chance to celebrate Christmas in a feast organized by a well-wisher.

The orphans, guardians and villagers danced and made merry after receiving a donation in the event  organized by Mr Samuel Mwangi popularly known as Kifeeti, a resident and a Gitugi politician.

The orphans who mostly live in the children home also got a rare chance to be narrated tales and motivational stories by Kifeeti's friends, something most of them had never experienced before.

Kifeeti said he organized the feast to give the orphans a chance to celebrate Christmas like other children as well as giving the orphans a sense of belonging and acceptance.

He said he chose to spend time with the orphans at the expense of using his money at the clubs with sly queens and friends to drink beer and smoking the banned Shisha.

“I know that most of my age mates who have money spend their money clubs and bars to buy beer and wines while others go up and down day and night to spend their money but i chose to spend time with these children to give them hope and a sense of acceptance," Kifeeti told KK online news.

She said such events give hope to orphans and help them to feel as part of the society in spite of their challenges.

Sh 160,000 was used in the fanfare event.

He said he got the money from friends, well-wishers and government officials announcing that he would also visit  Imani Children Home on January 1st to hold the end of year party.
Mr Kifeeti is known for his closeness to Governor Mwangi wa Iria and pundits say chances are high that he could be selected to be Giugi's Ward administrator.
