FIVE MAGISTRATES SENT HOME





Chief justice Dr. Willy Mutunga has interdicted At least five magistrates over gross misconduct where they are accused of delays in delivering justice which contravene the directive Mutunga had issued on handling minor cases.

The interdicted magistrateas are Caroline Ateya (Ogembo Court), Mary Goretii from Kakamega, Timothy Nchoe (Makueni), Davis Karani from Mombasa and Elector Riany of Milimani Court. Five of them have been given 21 days to defend themselves by a mean of writing explaining contrary to allegations.
This is seen as a move by CJ to ensure justice is delivered within shortest time possible for Justice delayed is Justice Denied.
