CORNFIMED: Dr Moses Mwangi Announces His New Political Party

Dr Moses Ndungu Mwangi Will be battling it out with Muranga Governor Mwangi wa Iria through Maendeleo chap chap ticket.
Speaking to KK Online on phone, Moses has said he has taken that step since the Party allied to Machakos Governor Afred Mutua is a 'Friendlier' party to Uhuru's administration.
'I believe MCC is an ideal party for me since its geared to development agendas just like what I subscribe to," Mwangi said
Dr Moses Mwangi defected from Jubilee Party a day before the Party primaries saying that he had information that the exercise would be marred by anomalies.
The move by Moses to announce his political vehicle comes barely two days after Uhuru called all the losers vowing to treat them as opposition moles if they will not join hands and support the Jubilee nominees. He said that He shall campaign for the Jubilee nominees who won in all the Jubilee strongholds.
It's interesting to see how the political arena will unfold in Muranga, an area perceived to be Jubilee strongholds with two candidates from Uhuru's party and an affiliate of Jubilee party.
Governor Mwangi wa Iria trounced his main competitor Kigumo law maker with a margin of 100,000 Votes.
Kamau has since announced that he will not be vying as an an Independent candidate promising to stay in Jubilee party.

WARNING: Uhuru Warns Independent Candidates

President Uhuru Kenyatta has met leaders from Central who lost in the nominations and asked them to accept their loss and move on or face dire consequences for not adhering to the advise.
The President met the losers on Saturday morning and warned them against fighting Jubilee and those who were elected in the ruling party’s strongholds.
According to sources, the President reiterated that he shall be supporting those chosen by the people to fly the Jubilee flag in Central Kenya.
“He asked us not to destabilize the party or fight Jubilee candidates on the ground, because that could affect voter turnout,” a loser told KK Online News.
To those that have vowed to vie as Independent candidates, Uhuru categorically stated that they will be treated like Opposition and shall be dealt with the way the Government fights opposition.
“Don’t propagate that  Central Kenya has no leaders. You know well that it's not true . The region has new leaders . I will work with those Wanjiku has given me ,” Uhuru said.
Among the bigwigs that have been shown the door are the Presidential re election team, Kembi Gitura who was trashed by a one term Mp Irungu Kangata.
Among others are Kiambu Governor William Kabogo, Mukurweini MP Kabando wa Kabando, Nyeri Town MP Murugi, Kigumo MP Jamleck Kamau and Starehe MP Maina Kamanda.

HUMBLE PLEA: Senate Speaker Makes A Humble Plea To Kembi, Machage

Senate Speaker Ekwe Ethuro has asked wazee’s holding public office to resign and allow youths occupy the office as one way of creating employment opportunities for youths.

“These old men and women should retire so that their sons and daughters can take up these positions. This will help to reduce the high unemployment rate among the youths,” said Ethuro.

In what seemed like addressing old friends in Senate, Ethuro has beseeched aged leaders to seek retirement and pave way for young blood in those positions.

“Hii nchi yetu tuko wengi! Tutapata vipi kazi zote? Let us not blame the government, instead blame the old men who are still clinging on to leadership despite their age.

Among the aged leaders in Parliament is Hon Kembi Gitura who is Ethuro's deputy, Hon Wilfred Machage among others.

Currently unemployment rate in the country is nearly 35 per cent, with youths being the most affected, even those having Masters and Bachelor’s degrees.

JUBILEE LOSERS: Independent Candidates Are In Opposition- Muturi Kigano Peter Kihungi

Even after leaders who were mercilessly defeated in the just concluded Jubilee Party Primaries that saw political giants being sent home by Dr. Wanjiku, claiming that they will be vying as Independent Candidates, their move have been interpreted to selfish, greedy and going against the spirit of Jubilee party.
Peter Irungu Kihungi, a Kanyenyaini Member of County Assembly who aspired for Kangema Parliamentary Seat and lost to Muturi Kigano has announced that he will not be running as an Independent Candidate.
"Genuine Party members and aspirants should not aspire to win all the time,failure wherefore militate them to move to other quarters to satisfy their egoes," Kihungi told Journalists
Kihungi said that 'Party hopping in  all its forms  is defeatist, selfish and is not Jubilee like" urging all his colleagues who were defeated to join hands and support the President by staying in Jubilee party.
On his part Muturi Kigano, the Jubilee appointee for Kangema Constituency, has condemned all the losers who rejected the results, "These are the same people who had vowed to be ardent supporters of Jubilee Party,their move is same as Joining opposition," Kigano said.
In a joint pressing briefing with Kihungi, Simon Mwangi and several losers and winners who contested for Members of County Assembly seats, Muturi categorically stated that the intention of the Independent Candidates was to weaken the Jubilee party.
Among the Jubilee Losers who rejected the results are the Senate Deputy Speaker Kembi Gitura, Kigumo Mp Hon Jamleck Kamau, former Inooro Presenter Waithira Muithirania, Former Maragua Mp Elias Mbau,among others

World Press Freedom Day? Not Yet Uhuru For Muranga Scribes

Today is the World Press Freedom day,  a day when members of the Fourth estate celebrate the milestones achieved towards the free flow of information to members of the public.
However,  in Murang'a, journalists have increasingly found themselves working under undue pressure, with some of them risking losing their jobs as they struggle to cover political events at the heights of campaigns.
Many of the journalists have reported receiving threats of being fired if they do not affiliate themselves with certain politicians.
A certain senior politician in the county has been making frantic calls to media houses headquarters in Nairobi demanding for the replacement of local reporters for failing to support him.
Journalists have had to plead their cases to their bosses to avoid facing the sack or being deployed to far-flung counties.
In desperation,  the political leader has run to media owners in a bid to influence how stories are aired while attempting to have the reporters punished for not dancing to his tunes.
A local reporter has told KK Online that he received calls from prominent people from his organisation just before the nominations telling him that the politician had accused him of being biased.
Faced with the allegations, the journo was forced to frantically explain to his bosses that the claims were untrue and that the leader was just being malicious.
Another reporter was to be transferred to another county under the command of the same leader but the transfer was thwarted after frantic pleas by the reporter.
Almost all local journalists have had a nasty experience with the leader.
But as we celebrate this day,  our wish is to have a conducive environment to ensure we effectively deliver on our role as the watchdogs.
