HASS OVACADO SEEDLINGS A SCAM

Central Kenya is prone to Agricultural scam, to start with few years ago thousands of farmers lost million of shillings in Quail Bird farming after the anticipated eggs market failed to benefit them due to high production and low demand. Quail farming benefited just a few who had came up.with idea and sold eggs at Ksh. 100 each.

As i write this article thousands of vulnerable farmers from
the same region are on run to plant the popular HASS AVOCADO not thinking about who brought about the idea and with what economic benefits? Someone somewhere must be misleading our farmers mostly being our elected leaders and our own Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Mwangi Kiunjuri. Questions that we demand to be answered are:-
1. How productive is Hass Avocado?
2. How sustainable is projected International Market (China)?
3. What if projected market fails where will our farmers take their produce?
4. Why gives us seedlings instead of building a processing factory for already fruits in the region just to name bananas, mangoes, already existing avocados?
5. Is this not a scam to benefit few groups that are selling Seedlings to farmers through county and National government?
KK ONLINE NEWS oversee a crisis in 3 years or so to come where supply will bypass demand. Central region farmers will be full of forest coverage in the name of Hass Avocados tree which cant produce timber or even good charcoals for cooking. We are worried maybe in the next few years to come our soil will not be productive at all hence making us to rely with foods from other regions. It raises so many unanswerable questions with what interest Governors and MPs from the region have? Which all rotates to  misinformed priorities, why dont you utilize your energy to lobby for construction of a processing factory from National government like our brothers from Rift Valley who instead of distributing Sisal and Cotton seeds to farmers they opted to revive Textile Industry.
MEHEMEHE REGIME VS DEVELOPMENT REGIME
sat down and came up with idea, they managed to cell hatched chicks and raw eggs at Ksh. 100 each to poor expectant farmers who ended up thousands time poorer than before.
