Murang'a County Assembly members have come out gun blazing maintaining that they are not funded or being influenced by external forces in their decision making in the running of the County Assembly.
While reacting to a story on KK ONLINE NEWS, the MCAs said they are not fools to be funded by an external forces saying they changed the Assembly leadership since those who have been holding the positions have not lived to their mandate of representing them fully.
When goons attacked two MCAs and a Jubilee Party at a Sahara hotel in Nairobi {not Kiambu as widely reported by several media houses}a Jubilee party official Mr Charles Njoroge Wamuthoni mentioned PS Irungu Nyakera in connection in the infightings.
However the newly elected Majority leader and Kimorori Wempa Ward MCA Amos Murigi has rubbished the claims saying they are not children to be arm-twisted by an outsider.\
"The claims are unfounded and baseless, why on earth could someone who does not sit in the Assembly want to control the members because of 2022 politics when even the member will be busy seeking their re-election and some of them seeking for bigger offices?, Mr Murigi wondered describing the assumptions as myopic and childish.
The former Kenya National Union of Teachers official maintained that they had 10 reasons for voting out Mr Kamande and the Chief Whip Mr Wamwea saying that other sideshows are only meant to divert the attention.
"The outgoing majority leader mis-adivsed the house during the vetting of County Executive Committee members, he also did not lead members of the Assembly to campaign for the reelection of President Uhuru Kenyatta.
"Why cant those talking of external forces seek the document containing the reasons behind the change of leadership other than giving false information? Mr Murigi said.
The leader said the Assembly will continue discharging its mandate paying less attention to the sideshows to destabilize and divide the members saying they will remain united no matter the circumstances.
He said despite being elected as the majority leader he has never met the PS in person and maintained that those dragging his name only want to confuse the electorates, incite them so that they may loose trust for them.
