HAPPENING NOW: Peter Munga Locked Up In A Board Meeting Over Wa Iria's Demands

Murang'a Water and Sanitation Company Board Members are currently locked up in  a closed door meeting to discuss the way forward after Governor Mwangi wa Iria declared to deal with its Chair Mr. Peter Munga over increment of water Tarrifs.

According to a source within Muwasco offices, one of the main agenda of the meeting is to discuss how to deal with Iria's demands ie lowering the water Tarrifs.

The closed door meeting started at exactly 10 in the morning and was attended by all the board members.

It comes at a time when Governor Mwangi wa Iria has called
a stakeholders meeting on Wednesday at Ihura Stadium to immediately lower water Tarrifs 'With Immediate effect'

A source who requested anonymity has told KK online News that Wa Iria demanded that Munga Must attend the meeting without apologies.

Today's meeting is going to shape Wednesday's Wa Iria's meeting since if the Board decides to lower the water Tarrifs then it means  Governor will only Have to announce good news to Murang'a residents who feel they have been taken for granted by MUWASCO.

On the other hand, it is not clear whether Munga a harsh critic of Governor Mwangi wa Iria is going to easily give in to his demands considering that Wa Iria was once Munga's Employee and the tycoon 'does not take him serious'

It's also alledged that Munga is the engine behind Moses Mwangi's Gubernatorial bid and this could bring in issues of conflict of interest between Peter Munga's dealings with Wa Iria's demands.

KK online News will be keeping you updated with the meetings deliberations.
