REPRIEVE FOR WA IRIA, JUBILEE

Governor Mwangi wa Iria and all the Muranga Jubilee Nominees are a happy lot. This is because the earlier ruling by Political Parties and Disputes Tribunal have been stopped by the High Court pending the hearing of the case which is slated to for tomorrow 22th May.

Governor Mwangi wa Iria's lawyer Ng'ang'a Mbugua in collaboration with Jubilee lawyers had rushed to the high Court contesting the PPDT's verdict that Muranga County Gubernatorial primaries be repeated.

Justice Hellen Ongudi of the Nairobi High Court  issued stop orders, following an appeal filed by Governor Mwangi Wa Iria.
The court  also Directed Hon Jamleck Kamau's public statement that he won't take part in the repeat nominations, be filed in court before the hearing.
Kamau declared yesterday that he won't be taking part in the repeat of the exercise because he believed that he would be rigged again.

The jubilee party supported the appeal and said that the tribunal was wrong and insisted that the nominations were free and fair and that Gov Mwangi Wa Iria had been legally nominated .

This decision comes as a relief to the Jubilee party and all candidates who had been elected on the Jubilee ticket since the Tribunal decision left them exposed considering its the same register that was used country wide.
KK online will be closely following whether Kamau will file his public statement before tomorrow Monday 22rd at 2:30 in the evening.
